QUANTITATIVE INDICES OF CONSCIOUS AND UNCONSCIOUS MEMORY FORMED ON THE SAME STIMULI

Annotation

The author studies the dynamics of the threshold of visual stimulus identifying and detecting in regard to the estimated ones after its conditioned-reflexive remaining in memory by means of its momentary reinforcement by a stimulus of pain or, when sweet-deprived, by sugar. He establishes the fact of the forming and autonomous functioning of conscious and unconscious memory for complex characteristics of the consciously-remembered stimuli. In the responses of which one is aware, he distinguishes some unconscious components reflecting the processes of conscious and unconscious memory taken separately. The indices are revealed to reflect every individual process of remembering information and extracting it from unconscious memory. The author also ascertains it is only the consciously-remembered information that is forgotten. Awareness is substantiated to become localized in the vegetable cortex.
