REAL-TIME MEASUREMENT OF THE STRUCTURE PHASE TRANSFORMATION KINETICS IN DIELECTRICS BY A NEW HIGH-TIME RESOLVED ELECTROMAGNETIC TECHNIQUE

Annotation

The spontaneous crystallization of supercooled water is studied by some in situ techniques: optical, thermal and electromagnetic. The authors find an emission of the thermal and electromagnetic pulses during the spontaneous crystallization and establish the fact, that the electromagnetic pulse front correlates with the time dependence of the ice phase volume. The also discuss a physical model of electromagnetic emission generation during crystallization.
