LINE-CHAIN NOTATION OF THE FORMULAE OF ORGANIC COMPOUNDS. VII. SENIORITY

Annotation

The system of rules is generated, defining the structure and order of a disposition of messages in line-chain code and the order of construction on a code of a compound name (rules of seniority). The author formulates natural principles of these rules. The orders of seniority are specified for atoms, chemical bonds and more complicated constituents of the organic molecule: hydrocarbon and heterocyclic radicals (fragments) as well as non-hydrocarbon (characteristic) groups of atoms. The seniority order is used for a comparing sets of homogenious indications, defining some properties of a molecule, for example, numbers (locants) of several identical substituents.
