Radon in environment and its effective dose in Dagestan

Annotation

The results of determination of radon in water and indoor air Dagestan are conducted. The effective dose equivalent of the population of Dagestan radon in different geographical areas of the country is determined. These results give the evidence that the levels of exposure of the public due to the content of the isotopes of radon in indoor air may not be significant. First defined radon, at least 90 % of spring waters, determining radiation dose to the population, are (due to the small content of uranium in soils and rocks) below the normative value.
