Impedance of powder metallurgy steels infiltrated with copper at corrosion potential in sodium chloride solutions

Annotation

Impedance spectra of some powder metallurgy (PM) steels infiltrated with copper and same iron in aerated solutions 0.1–3 % NaCl are obtained. The main differences between impedance plots for PM steels and for Fe electrode are related with surface heterogeneity of PM materials and with small porosity (< 10 %) of these materials. The effect of exposure time on impedance spectra is studied.
