CLINICAL CASE OF USE OF AUTOMATED SELECTION OF METAL STRUCTURES FOR SURGICAL TREATMENT OF PATIENTS WITH HIP FRACTURES IN OSTEOPOROSIS CONDITIONS

Annotation

Treatment of femoral fractures remains one of the most difficult tasks in traumatology. Even more challenging is holding osteosynthesis when the patient has osteoporosis. The most commonly used system of dynamic hip screw and the system dynamic condylar screw, osteosynthesis using plates with limited contact area and angular stability, as well as the locked intramedullary osteosynthesis. Necessary for the selection of metal structures osteosynthesis is possible to use computer simulation. As a result, virtual simulation osteosynthesis valued quality in different conditions using existing structures. The article provides an example of selection for metal structures treatment of diaphyseal fractures of the femur in the conditions of osteoporosis using computer simulation in preoperative planning. Applicable software and information complex, based on the use of mathematical methods and computer simulation technology of parallel computing on multiprocessor computer systems to predict injuries, their consequences and surgical interventions. According to the results of computer simulation to find the most optimal metal construction and operative treatment of the patient. When analyzing the results of treatment showed complete agreement between the results of pre-clinical planning that reflects the proper selection metal construction.
