Critical thinking and individual style of activity of lecturer of University: question of relation

Annotation

The article describes the methodological background, specifying the idea of integrative resource approach in identifying the essence of individual style of teaching activities (ISTA) of the university teacher. Individual style of teaching activities is seen as integral dynamic characteristics of the individual, which is a relatively stable, self-regulating system of interconnected open individual peculiar actions and describing the specifics of the interaction of teachers and students in the process of teaching. We prove that the features of the development and implementation of teacher ISTA (unevenness and dissimilarity) are due to psychophysiological, age, individual creative characteristics with teaching experience. Substantiated structure ISTA as a stable, a regular relationship of internal and external components that define the qualitative determination and individual-typological original style. The features of mutual individual and intellectual components ISTA are determined. The content of the intellectual component in the ISTA, defined by the ratio of intelligence and critical thinking, which is discussed in the article as a professionally-oriented kind of thinking that determines the individual reflective and analytical standpoint of the teacher, and is manifested in the understanding and analysis of the problematic aspects of interaction with students, assessing the adequacy of the measures taken to perform important tasks professionally, willingness to reasonable rejection of stereotypes and search of logical alternative solutions to emerging scientific and pedagogical problems. Style of critical thinking as constituting ISTA, shows the degree of intellectual development instructor level of compliance of its cognitive requirements of professional activity. The impact of different styles of thinking on development ISTA is analyzed.
