Beginning of introduction and development of Eastern martial arts in Europe and world

Annotation

Initial contradiction information about exotic samurai fight “jiu-jitsu” started to introduce in Europe and America at the end of 19th – beginning of 20th centuries is considered. But the real peak of the eastern fight arts was in the second half of 20th century. It is concluded about a huge contribution to the popularization of the West judo, karate-do, taekwondo, kun-fu made demonstrations of masters from Asia (eg. M. Oyama), the publication of books, articles, technical manuals and development in many languages of the world, establishing Hollywood adventure movies promoting martial arts. An important stage in the development of martial arts was the creation of the national federations, conferences, seminars and certifications, competitions and championships, their entry into the program of the Summer Olympic Games.
