Peculiarities of inside functional structure of attention of younger pupils with insufficient development

Modern recognition of attention as the basis for smooth functioning of the psyche are updated with the studies of the attention process in children with dysfunctional organization of mental activity. Available data on the effectiveness of mental activity relationship and degree of functional unity properties of attention in children with normal development level underscore the urgency of studying of the relationship between attention properties for violations of cognitive activity due to lack of development. Mismatch between the need for a holistic study of attention in children with delayed development and pervasive underdevelopment and fragmentation data of functional unity attention properties in these children 9–10 years have defined the purpose of the present study: identifying features inter-functional structure of attention in primary school children with underdevelopment. Experimental study of attention was of individual-group and covers three categories of younger schoolboys: I) the third-graders in regular school; 2) third-graders enrolled in schools program of VII kinds; 3) third-grade school of VIII type. The basic properties of attention (stability, distribution, switching, concentration and volume) and significant correlation between them are considered. These findings point to the originality of the structure inter-functional attention in primary school children of different categories that detect interdependence degree of functional unity attention properties and degree of cognitive development in 9–10 years children with normal development with delayed development and total underdevelopment. Results of the study provide an objective basis for verifying the effectiveness of group development correctional programs, performance criteria, which may serve to strengthen the links between the basic properties of attention.
