FORMING OF SKILLS OF REGULATING STRESS STATE, APPEARING DURING COMPLETION SITUATIONS AT STUDENTS-SPORTSMEN

Annotation

The results of a theoretical-methodological analysis of research of scientists in the field of sports psychology, as well as the authors’ empirical studies on the basis of which it has been concluded that stress, arousal and anxiety have their specific values in sport were given. Was noted special features of the training of student-athletes, was indicate that they are not only educational, but stress caused by the intensity of sports training, overloads and overtraining, premature “fusion”, as well as the expectation of success or fear of failure. As a result of prior ranking causes of stress among students of sports higher education institutions it was found that the primary stressor is psychological discomfort, tested by the athlete before competition. Was found that the athlete's behavior and its relationship with sport activities, in terms of competitive stress, depends largely on how he perceives the state of arousal. Were provided data on the influence of psychological stress conditions like personal anxiety and self esteem. Provably justified the conclusion that the regulation of personal anxiety students-athletes have to develop skills and the ability to control the level of stimulation, i. e., the mastery of psychological skills regulation of stress, and it is from this skill depends on successful performance in competitions. However, before you use the ability to regulate psychological condition during the competitions, it is their work on trainings. The basis of psychological regulation of stress are knowledge of the psychology of the students-athletes which they acquire while studying at the University.
