PSYCHOLOGICAL AND PEDAGOGICAL CONDITIONS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF STUDENTS’ READING SKILLS BASED ON LANGUAGE MULTIMEDIA PROGRAMS

Annotation

The widespread and application of modern information and communication technologies in the process of learning a foreign language in secondary schools and universities contributed to the emergence of a cycle of works devoted to language education informatization. The formation of foreign language communicative competence in a variety of components (linguistic, discourse, socio-cultural, educational and compensatory and cognitive) acts as one of the main goals of foreign language teaching. At the moment, scientists have developed a lot of methods of speech skills, the formation of the language skills of speech, the formation of socio-cultural and cross-cultural competence on the basis of modern information and communication technologies. This work is dedicated to the identification and justification of psychological and pedagogical conditions of teaching students the art of reading in a foreign language based on modern multimedia language programs pronunciation and speaking. These psycho-pedagogical conditions are the following: a) the motivation of students to use multimedia technology in the study of a foreign language; b) the students' competence in the field of information and communication technologies; c) the teachers’ competence in the use of modern information and communication technologies; d) the presence of a series of exercises aimed at learning the art of reading on the basis of language multimedia programs. Every psycho-pedagogical condition is described in detail. It is concluded that the inclusion of these psychological and pedagogical conditions in the learning process of learning a foreign language will contribute to the effectiveness of the proposed methods of teaching students the art of reading based on the language of multimedia programs.
