FUNCTIONAL APPROACH TO THE ANALYSIS OF MULTI-LEVEL SYSTEM OF SOCIAL WORKERS TRAINING

Annotation

The possibility of the use of functional approach to the analysis and design of multi-level system of training of professionals through the example of the profession of social work is founded. Functional and competence-based approach in their relationship and interpenetration are discussed. Common positions and points of contact of competence-based and functional approach from the perspective of activity-based concept are substantiated. Key issues in the implementation of the competency approach into the national education system are discussed; the possibility of solving these problems within the framework of a functional approach is proved. The functional analysis of the social worker activity is carried out. A hierarchical model to describe the functions of social workers is offered. Federal educational standards at various levels (Federal State Educational Standard Secondary Vocational Education, Federal State Educational Standard Higher Professional Education, Federal State Educational Standard Higher Education) from the position of the functional approach are analyzed. The key functions of each level of training are identified. The difference in functions at the level of secondary and higher vocational education is proved. Difference in formation of competencies in bachelor and master of social work for the professional functions realization is substantiated. It is concluded that applying the functional approach in the multi-level training system design makes better consider the requirements of professional standards in the preparation of professionals.
