Psychological determinants of formation of world picture of preschool children through multimedia technology

Annotation

The influence of multimedia technologies (especially Internet accessible through computers, tablets and mobile devices) on the formation of children’s picture of the world at the present stage of development of the information society is considered. The results of the survey of the problem conducted by the International Central Institute (IZI) for Youth and Educational Television in Munich are given. The psychological factors conducive to a child’s world in the pre-school years are identified: desire for self-development, forced necessity, children’s choice, etc. It is concluded that children's syncretic view of the world has shaped the nature of visual and active. Worldview of formation of preschooler envisages a gradual enrichment, gaining experience from sense impressions and submissions received by himself and in especially in organized conditions, further to their transformation into a system of knowledge about themselves, about other people, about nature.
