Development of professional and pedagogical competence of teachers of children’s art schools in system of additional vocational training

Annotation

The strategy of economic and social development of Russia, reforming the education system and its condition at the present stage set tasks to update additional professional education, require constant updating of content and technologies of qualification increase of pedagogical workers. The problems associated with the choice of forms, methods and technologies that contribute to the development of targeted professional and pedagogical competence of teachers of children’s art schools in the system of qualification increase are considered. In this regard, the qualification increase of teachers should be considered from the point of the formation and development of competencies that reflect the professional standard of the teacher and requirement of qualification characteristics. This approach allows organizations to perform assigned to additional vocational education tasks for updating the content of qualification increase of teachers of children’s art schools in the context of targeted development of their professional and pedagogical competence. The notion of “professional and pedagogical competence” is specified, the reasons for the low level of its formation of the teachers of children’s art schools is identified, the possibility of use in organizations of additional vocational training of methodical training system aimed at level improving of professional and pedagogical competence of teachers of children’s art schools is considered.
