International Organization of Francophonie in the context of globalization and mondialization

Annotation

The influence of globalization processes on the development of an international organization of Francophonie is considered. It is shown that in modern conditions Francophonie of a new, third generation, which is largely used to determine the term “mondialisation” of modern processes and not “globalization” is formed. The representatives of Francophonie consider mondialization as broader socio-cultural phenomenon that already includes globalization. It is a more extensive process involving both economic and political, and social spheres. Mondialisation opens a new page in the history of the Francophonie, changing an existing view on the role of IOF in the modern world. Such a view is allowed to compare mondialization with the culture within the three main approaches prevailing in modern Western theory of international relations: euphoric vision of happy mondialization, “shock of civilizations” – a pessimistic view of human relations, theory of subordination of intercultural economy exchange. The latter approach, according to the author, deserves the most attention, because it helps to understand and recognize the role of the Francophonie in the modern world.
