A CONCEPT OF CIVIL SOCIETY: ORIGINS OF IDEA’S FORMATION

Annotation

The topic of the research is relevant because modern situation in most of the countries does not correspond to the concept of civil society which suits the standards and characteristics of this notion. Thus, ideology aspects of civil society requires the development of considerable strategy. It is necessary to trace the way of historic formation of philosophic-legal thought presented in ideas of different periods to understand the state of civil society and prospects of its development. The basic notions about the institute of civil society since the appearance of this term in XVII century and also the modern ideas are considered. The analysis of historic sources is carried out, the translations of Ancient Greek, Renaissance and the Enlightenment philosophers and legislators’ works are used. The thoughts of such famous philosophers as Plato, Aristotle, Marcus Tullius Cicero, I. Kant, J. Locke, G. Hegel, K. Marx and also Soviet and Russian scientists A.P. Kochetkov, V.O. Bibler and N.I. Matuzov are presented. Periods of civil society’s ideas evolution are made in chronologic order. The conclusion is made that it is necessary to develop and study civil society as it guarantees rights, freedom and citizenry’s interests in legal society.
