SOCIAL AND CULTURAL FEATURES OF INFORMATION SOCIETY

Annotation

Postmodern, postclassical, information civilization - all these names belong to the present state of society. Philosophy, science, technology are trying to make coups in their “consciousness”, based on features of the information society, but rather the socio-cultural features. Many modern scholars take as a basis for their research innovations offered by postclassical, and develop them. Moreover, post-non-classical concepts and ideas are based on the fundamentals accepted for many centuries, but their relevance and appropriateness are shown in the postmodern. The explanation lies in the social-cultural characteristics of the developing information society, which emphasizes the importance of the following: social-cultural variability, changing society, changing values of goals, the prevalence of advertising and fashion in popular culture, theatricality, and others. Detailed consideration of social and cultural characteristics of the postmodern leads to the conclusion that the current epoch and the last third of the twentieth century marked a radical change of scientific basis, which represent the fourth global scientific revolution, in the aspect of which emerges the latest post-non-classical science.
