FEMALE CHARACTERS IN SPY NOVELS OF B. AKUNIN AND J. LE CARRÉ (“THE TURKISH GAMBIT”, “THE LITTLE DRUMMER GIRL”)

Annotation

Comparative analysis of female characters in modern spy prose (“The Turkish Gambit” by B. Akunin and “The Little Drummer Girl” by J. le Carré) is given. The general and individual-author’s approaches to the artistic reflection of female characters, to the social role played by a woman in a certain historical and political context are defined.
