Political activity of G. Szapáry office in Hungary on the pages of “The Times” (1880–1892)

Annotation

In this study we analyze evaluation of the British newspaper “The Times” of the Hungarian prime minister G. Szapáry political activity (1890–1892), as well as a series of carried through and developed reforms. The method of content analysis of the newspaper’s publications revealed a number of topics that were actively covered by “The Times”: the personality of Hungarian prime minister G. Szapáry and his leadership qualities, financial transformations in Hungary in the period of 1890–1892 (monetary reform), reform of social legislation and planned anti-clerical laws.
