Reflection of ancient history and geography in the series of novels by G. Martin “A Song of Ice and Fire”
We reveal ancient allusions in the series of novels by G. Martin “A Song of Ice and Fire”. We determine the functioning specifics of the ancient historical plots in this cycle, which consists in the creative processing and adaptation of the fantasy genre paradigm of famous ancient myths and historical facts. We denote the similarities between urban and architectural images of G. Martin and the urbanized realities of Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome.
