Methodology of error correction using internet technologies in teaching foreign languages

In this work, we consider the methodology of error correction using modern information and communication technologies for the purpose of teaching foreign languages. We give the causes of errors and their classification. There are 3 types of errors: a) “slips”; b) “errors”; c) “attempts”. The main error correction methods are self-correction, peer correction, and teacher correction. We clarify the didactic properties and methodological functions of ICT in order to correct errors. We provide examples of error correction tasks.
