SELECTIVE LASER TRABECULOPLASTY AND PHACOEMULSIFICATION OF CATARACT IN PRIMARY OPEN ANGLE GLAUCOMA TREATMENT

Annotation

The results of selective laser trabeculoplasty and phacoemulsification cataract in 76 patients with primary open-angle glaucoma with an immature cataract (76 eyes) in the background pseudoexfoliative syndrome are analyzed. By reducing the intraocular pressure after the SLT to the desired pressure on the background of medical treatment, not to include prostaglandins may perform cataract phacoemulsification with IOL implantation. This approach is effective especially in patients with an initial stage of primary glaucoma: allows you significantly improve the performance of hydrodynamic eyes normalize intraocular pressure and to preserve the natural path of the outflow of intraocular fluid.
