Analysis of the retinotomographic examination results of the optic disc taking into account the degree of significance
Annotation
At present retinotomography of the optic disc is one of the main methods in the early glaucoma diagnosis. Purpose: to analyze the main reasons for the insignificant results obtained examining the patients with different stages of glaucoma. Material and methods: 130 eyes of 78 patients aged 46 to 80 years old with different stages of primary glau-coma were analyzed. All eyes were divided into 4 groups depending on the assessment that was given by the computer program of the device (excellent, good, admissible, bad). Results: it was detected that the main reason for the insignificant results was visual acuity reduction below 0.5 as well as the age under 70 years old. Conclusion: it’s necessary to assess the data of the optic disc retinotomography properly in standard deviation of the results exceeding 50 mkm.
