Sufficiency of ovoflavin admission estimation into corneal stroma while carrying out modified methods of corneal collagen crosslinking for evolving keratikonus

Annotation

The work carried out assessment of corneal saturation solution “Dekstralink” in the performance of standard and modified methods of corneal collagen crosslinking. The degree of saturation of corneas riboflavin solution was evaluated by photometric methods and colorimetric analysis of the two groups of 10 eyes rabbit cadaver. The amount of riboflavin into the cornea in the performance of standard and modified methods of CRC was 0.21 and 0.25 mg, respectively (t = 1.15, p ≥ 0.05). RGB values of the indicators on the system at a standard technique were 157:124:46, with a modified technique – 157:127:48 (p ≥ 0.05). The results confirmed the same penetration of riboflavin into the stroma of the cornea like during standard and modified methods of AAC.
