Modern trends in intramedullary osteosynthesis of diaphyseal femoral fractures development

Annotation

Optimized surgical treatment of femoral shaft fractures with respect to engineering biological factors allows create conditions for physiological osteogenesis, reducing the number of cases with poor outcomes and primary disablement. The review of the literature on intramedullary osteosynthesis over the last 20 years is presented, main stages of intramedullary osteosynthesis development and outline modern tendencies are define. The engineering attempts to improve treatment results create a great variety of products and methods of fragment anchoring.
